NEPH announces fall vaccine clinics
October 8, 2025

Timmins, Ontario — Northeastern Public Health (NEPH) is launching its annual fall vaccination campaign this week, offering free flu and COVID-19 vaccines to everyone 6 months and older.

“Vaccines keep you and your family safe from serious illnesses,” says Kassandra Plante, Manager of Sexual Health and Immunization. Residents have multiple ways to get protected this season.

Clinics are open to everyone 6 months and older and will be held at many locations across the region. Some locations have changed. In Timmins this year, NEPH will hold clinics at Collège Boréal. Residents of Cobalt will be able to get their vaccinations at the train station. And, in Kirkland Lake, NEPH will host two clinics at the Legion in October.

Many clinics will offer weekend and evening times. A complete schedule can be found online on the Fall Vaccine Clinics page on the NEPH website. Other options include healthcare professionals and many local pharmacies.

According to Plante, “Some people are more likely to get very sick from COVID-19 and flu. That’s why it’s important for both them and the people around them to get vaccinated as soon as possible.” These groups include:

  • People with existing health conditions
  • Adults 65 and older
  • Pregnant women
  • Young children (6 months to 5 years)
  • Community service workers
  • Caregivers of high-risk individuals

“Getting vaccinated is the most effective way to protect yourself and your community from flu and COVID-19,” adds Plante. “We hope to see everyone who wants or needs the vaccine at one of our clinics.”
