Position summary

Northeastern Public Health (NEPH) is seeking a qualified dental assistant to join our progressive team of public health professionals working directly with individuals, families and groups on programs that emphasize good oral health. There are a variety of opportunities to use your knowledge and skills assisting dental hygienists at preventive clinics and in dental health education. 

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a post-secondary program in the health care or teaching fields;
  • Certification as a dental assistant;
  • Experience in private or public health dental practice an asset;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills especially with children;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Fluent in both French/English required; 
  • Driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required;
  • Willingness and ability to travel to surrounding communities;
  • Satisfactory Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Required to comply with Immunization polices including COVID-19 vaccination unless valid medical exemption is provided.
